Vogrig La Piccola Gubana 450 g

La Gubana is the symbolic dessert of Friuli, from the green valleys of the Natisone River near Cividale. Its name comes from its spiral snail shape: gubat means to wrap in the local dialect. Vogrig, artisan bakers in Friuli since 1963, faithfully reproduces the ancient recipe handed down over generations.

A soft leavened dough rolled around a rich filling of walnuts, raisins, pine nuts and dried fruit, made without preservatives. The 450 g size is ideal for smaller households, gift baskets and retail shelves.

How to Serve

Slice and enjoy with coffee or a glass of dessert wine. In Friuli it is traditionally served drizzled with a little grappa or slivovitz.
